There is no such thing as an official Ideal Weight for Height Chart,but many people use the statistics from average weight and height charts to determine their weight goals. Also there are more than one average weight for height chart. As the chart shows below, the average weight for height has gone up for several years.
So Now you can see why I chose the 1971 to 1974. You can see that people weighed less then. If you are going to choose and average weight for your goal weight, use an average when people were a little healthier.

Why am I using average heights and weights instead of the heights and weights of perfect people. I do not know any perfect people. I guess if you know someone your height that has the perfect weight, you could ask them their weight. In the long run trying to be someone else is not very satisfying and impossible to achieve. Trying to fit into a range of average weights is much more achievable.
