There are different types of ideal weight charts for women. The chart you choose depends on your goals. The chart on this page is one of the most common as it uses data compiled by the Metropolitan Insurance Company in 1943.  It is best used by average people seeking a healthy weight. Weight is not always the best ways to measure your success in reaching your ideal body.  You might also consider tracking your ideal body fat percentage and your ideal body measurements for women.
